  2. Well…my grandbabies say I’m a fluffy, feather pillow! I was a goose in my former life before my humbling.:0) Thanks for always making me laugh, Mitch.

Boy, ain’t that the truth! I think the tech businesses out here should all have this as their poster for all the young whipper-snappers who think they’re God’s gift to humanity because they work for Google, Facebook, etc. Drives me nuts! 🙂 Now if they’d only appreciate that I’m the only PEACOCK out here, we’d all get along just fine! 🙂

Pride afflicts all of us, from the most timid to the most arrogant, because it’s all about self. Thank God, we’re truly humbled when we realize humility is what He says about us in His Word- we’re nothing more, and nothing less.
Another favorite of mine – ONLY by Pride comes contention. This has been a life changer for me as whenever there’s any form of contention I know 1 or both are operating out of pride.

    Praise God for His Word.

Oh, how true! I’ve lived long enough to see some peacocks reduced to dusters. Not pretty. Lord, keep me mindful that a humble heart is a peaceful, joyful heart.
