    Good question. Letting others down tends to lead me to beat myself up for weeks. But, it’s usually because I had overestimated my own ability…and then fell on my face.
    And then there’s that little matter of running for home to hide and lick my (self-inflicted) wounds.

    Yep. “Where you hide when you fail” is at least part of what defines “home,” I think.

  3. I think when we let ourselves down we treat ourselves far worse than anyone would. On the other hand if we don’t give a fig about it, then you’re probably oblivious and wouldn’t care anyway.
