Afterlife

Do drowned leaves dream

of lives once lived in the sky

while living leaves ponder

the fate that awaits by and by?

  1. JOSEPH YAKOVETIC says:

In the novel, Bambi, by Felix Salten, chapter VIII is a conversation between two leaves left on a branch, discussing their lives and what will become of them.  It is a poignant piece that ends with “Winter had come.” This is actually beautifully animated in the Disney film, without the words.
