Good question.
My response to the first question would have to be “yes”.
Blessing or curse? Hmm.
You brought to mind the Proverb which says that a man may devise plans, but God directs his steps.
I’m thinking that, apart from God’s oversight, all of my life choices would be disastrous, no matter how well I have planned. But, even when I’m hanging my head in shame over my foolish impulsiveness, God is faithful to teach and grow me through the mess…if I’m willing to listen to Him.
While I would not recommend making a habit of choosing recklessly, I am ever-grateful that the Lord is able to bless me in spite of the curse I may have earned.

I agree, Heather! My own answer to the question would have been “both.” One of the key themes in The Wishing Map is owning our choices, especially those we make unwittingly or foolishly, and growing spiritually as a result.

I’m new here, but look forward to making the time to read your story from the beginning.

I’ve committed myself to things with the hope that it’ll alter the course of my life, There’s no point living if you don’t eperience change right? Amazing quote. I guess sometimes we fail to realise that all our actions have consequences, whether good/bad, small/huge. So, when the consequence does take its course, we are left dumbfounded!
I also wanted to let you know that I’ve nominated you for “Very Inspiring Blogger Award”, Check it out : https://chotisibaatein.wordpress.com/2015/01/04/very-inspiring-blogger-award/
