Dueling Masterpieces?

More than just a visual gag, this cartoon works on several levels: First, it’s a terrific piece of art itself (great caricatures, perfect composition); Second, it says something about how differently we each see the world (or choose to); Third, there’s a comment here about human pride and obstinacy (look at those expressions!); Fourth…well, OK, I haven’t figured out what it is yet, but there’s something about that little window and curtain…

  1. Hmmm…. Addicts, codependency ….. Their crisis is hitting The Wall. Notice the descriptors encompass a lot of the world…… The one group gets their identity from doing nice things until their resentments cause them to hit the proverbial Wall. They are both hitting that Wall. … One crisis at a time. so life is a stage-performance, not real, etc and that window looks like a prison door — not a picture of Freedom within their glum perspectives. My worldview is important. May others read the meaning in the way they hear. Cubism and expressionism being poked at or reflected upon ?
